School of Business Freshmen Orientation Camp!

..yup. i’m back from my first ever camp in sp!
the torturous fact of sb camp was that we had no air con in our classroom. knn. it was like sleeping in an oven!
despite that, it was really fruitful. i made 20 new friends! some of them were really friendly!
a while ago, i was having this bad impression of meeting more and more hostile people ever since my experience during enrollment. p.s some existing students looked really unfriendly. however, assurance soon arrived on the first day of my sb camp.
i was panic-stricken on the first day. (hey obviously anyone would) i was seeing a lot of unfamiliar faces which led me to think if they were from another galaxy in our untamed universe.. one guy on first sight was zaki, whom now has become me and weili’s buddy. after registration, we were allocated to different classes to start our introduction. i soon realised there were two groups that exist in this very orientation camp which were “matas” and “maffees“.
well, me, weili and zaki were all under matas, but different groups. i find this part real stupid, remember i said we were allocated to different classes? this individual class was further divided into two, leaving me under the group “private eye” while the other as “jury”. it surfaced under one as these two groups were sleeping in the same classrooms, however as the days go, the group, private eye, that i’m in, didn’t exactly interact with jury.
back to topic. the following day was heavily focused on equipping us with camp songs and cheers. probably my stay in pioneer jc has made my blood boil whenever it comes to cheering.. and so, i was soon appointed to be the cheerleader of my group.. as well as the entire matas and i led them to the war against the maffees (i definite them as egg muffins till now). i found myself comfortable talking to rachel and joey especially (both belonged to private eye), as well as some other people. miraculously, i discovered plenty of people i met, carry the same characteristics as the people i met during pae.
night falls and we had our first nightwalk in sp. speaking of nightwalk, i gotta credit the efforts of the facilitators of the sb camp. they got us to watch horror movies before the nightwalk starts at midnight 2-3am. most girls were whining not to attend the nightwalk, but it was futile. we were dispatched as groups of 4, which could be either 2 guys 2 girls or 1 guy 3 girls. joey, rachel and wanting was requesting me to accompany them and i agreed.
seriously, i was kinda nervous (not afraid) since it was my responsibility to protect them and most of the time, i was caught off-guard by those freaking “ghosts”. i was sorta telling myself, “whatever happens must act calm sia, if not malu..”. heh. anyway, it was an accomplishment lah, we all survived the horrible nightwalk together and right now me, joey, rachel and wanting are buddies.
nightwalk ended and we walked back to school of business. along the walk.. joey was like “polishing my ass”.
she kept mentioning my qualities.. initially i thought she was being sarcastic and later she explained she really appreciated my company during the nightwalk.. and this appreciation soon continued to spsu camp which i will be blogging in my next post.
(on msn) Joey: u r so nice, responsible, enthusiastic, sporting, fatherly, high integrity ,caring, concern, e best lah
a bit paisei that she “po” my “ass” sky high..
the following night morning, most of us didn’t have the feeling of sleeping and stayed awake. just a couple of hours after our “sleep” we began our activities! there were plenty of station games which i can’t remember. one of it was we had to strip naked to earn more points which referred to the water bombs, and we had to collect as much bombs our group mates threw at us as possible with our shirts. when asked what we could do to earn more bombs, sherman volunteered to do pole dance. everyone should witness the expressions on joey, rachel and other girls when sherman was dancing, seemed like all of them had their nose bled ! sherman got a sexy body. LOL.
after that, we had this hair washing thingy which requires two members from the group to get seated while the rest wash their hair with shampoo and water. joey laid the deepest impression since she was actually massaging my head and neck! i think you guys roughly get the idea of how it felt.. SHIOK SIA!
in the evening, we had gala night which we have to set up our skit. i volunteered to be the bapok aka ah gua. i was playing the role of a mother who found her jewelry disappeared one fine day and later hired a private investigator and bla bla bla.. yup. thanks to joey, i dressed in her secondary school uniform while she was in mine (she was acting as my son btw). people were commenting that i looked like a butch and gross with the exceptionally big boobs. i’ll get the photos of me in cross-dressing soon. after skit, we witnessed the director of sb and other big shots dancing on stage! rare footage!
we had this disco night where everyone gets hyped up and dancing jumping like some naked boys on drugs. that was when i heard from bryan that terrence was a break dancer! yup, and he did his stuff on the ground.
that night, everyone slept. including me.. i was worn out even at the thought of attending spsu camp the next morning.
this should be the 2nd night of sb camp. private eye!

cant remember the chronological order.. damn it.

the people in orange were our group leaders, shuhuan (lady on left) and shawn(guy on right).
last orientation day. pi plus jury! confirmed!

well.. i think the camp ended for me till the 3rd morning. i regretted it when weili reminded me of how fun it was going to be on the last day..
this part on his blog, stabbed me in the heart the most.
the most meaningfull thing we played is pasting a paper behind ur back .. and ppl write abt u ..
..anyway, i think its alright lah since most of my team left, and i believed we gonna still hang out after this camp! hopefully.
