OKAY. finally i’m done with the post on sb camp. phew. :ho:

that first morning i had to wake up like 6am, really pisses me off. imagine you gotta move your stiff body right after a previous camp without sufficient rest. arghh. wasn’t pleasuring.

initially we assembled outside macdonalds where we had our introductory games such as “concentration” and it was when i realised i was in this ~~group~~ family called “braganza“. next, we traveled to lim chu kang’s camp christine. it was the beginning when we were exposed to the functionality of the spsu family..

well, there were pros and cons about spsu camp. damn i just gotta give a review on spsu camp. i understand they have this hierarchy in their tradition.. but i wonder how does one tolerate if he had to greet every single staff on sight.. i for one, couldn’t get myself to adapt to this system. we had to greet every game/station-ic, asked their names and re-greet them. sounds irritating till this part yea? here comes more, we were answered weird names like, “marlboro” (WTF why would someone name himself marlboro?!), “ohgendus” (that’s the name of my leader btw), “equithas” (no idea wth it means). seriously, these just don’t make any sense.

wanna know what’s more annoying?

hah. we had to greet like 9 different rankings people. camp chief, chief cook, assistant chief cook, cooks, warden .etc ..you get what i mean. and it gets repeated once you get their permission to enter the cook house which was named as bikini bottom. LOL.

okay okay i really gotta comment on their food! it was so tasty that i felt this $12 camp was the most worthwhile payment i made in my life. speaking of food. i was really amused by my group, braganza. most of my groupmates were pretty silent throughout dinning..

anyway i shall summarise from here. members of braganza only get to interact on the second night, when our daddy(leader) introduced us a tradition which was to feed all of our members. meaning, we cant put food into our mouth unless someone else does it for us.. and yup you get the idea.. we went like super spastic, moving around stuffing spoonful of fried rice, beehoon and also ohta! i even went to feed people from other family!

we ended up back in sp the 3rd morning.. where we had our de-brief. here, the staff exposed their actual names (seriously i didnt take for real that someone would actually name themselves marlboro -.-) and the courses they were from. somehow i felt rather emotional leaving my family.

omg omg. singapore is really small.. somehow friends could be interlinked. the new crowd i made were mostly friends of my pjc mates! like glenn was dean’s buddy, yanyun was nicklas’s classmate and many other people.
