More than just an IT Show..

IT Show always ring a bell to in my head, that there will be a display of the latest gadgets and hardwares for the pleasure of the civilians, but every IT Show i had, meant a nightmare to me..
reason? i gotta squeeze in a tiny enclosed area with about a portion of singapore’s population! that doesn’t only mean lack of working space as well as breathing space. which in turn meant there will be lots of germs flying around like mosquitoes.
despite every “monsoon” i had to face in major exhibitions like this one, i always managed to walk away uninjured, nevertheless not empty-handed. this year’s IT Show (6th - 9th march), i had already set my eyes on a couple of items.
checking out laptops, asus, as well as sandisk’s most anticipated release of mspd ultra 8gb.
like most intellectual singaporeans, the obvious purchasing should be done on the last day, which is why i didn’t manage to grab the mspd. as for laptops, with much brainwashing done by my companion, kevin, i bought a dell xps.
i’m starting to regret it since i covet to operate on a macbook pro.
besides being a consumer, i was offered a job to burn time. instead of moving around squeezing through crowd, i was being stationary and squeezed by crowd. somehow i landed myself as an asus flyers giver. wasn’t too shabby since i was provided with free meals as well as the authority walk with a little more working space.
anyway, at the end of the day, i managed to take some photos with alvin and aikhao who were also working as promoters.
davis and chunyong even came for the exhibition!
i did mention i bought a dell xps right? yup, it was all done on the last day, last hour. it was rumored that prices will be slashed / freebies will be offered during the last few hours of such gadgets exhibition, it was true, however with everyone carrying that similar idealogy, your plan will be backfired.
available upgrade costs were reduced, however freebies were all given out, it would have been better if i purchase on day 1.
disappointment often comes with some delightfulness, i managed to catch some buddies i made on the previous working day and even a group photo for memories!
1 week has passed, and my lappy hasn’t arrive, did i make the right choice on choosing dell? stay tune. photos with show girls will be posted too.
