Polytechnic Tour!

Sorry for posting this late, whoa this is gonna be long, I’ll split my post into a few pages. (click the pages # to read.)
Went to Ngee Ann poly (On friday) and Temasek Poly (On sat) Openhouses. My Ngee Ann trip was accompanied by my schoolmates and Tamasek was with my friends and a group npcc people.
Ngee Ann Poly 19/01/07
Found out most of my interested courses like BS(Business Studies), BIT(Business IT), IT, HealthScience .etc Whoa Ngee Ann is really HUGE. Ngee Ann had some nice CCAs like kayaking, archery, cycling .etc COOL.

Temasek Poly 20/01/07
Our group consists of Alvin, Edwin, Dao Jun, Hui Jie, Wan Jia, Wan Zhen, Xin Hui, Jia Hao, Jun An, Wei Cheng, Choon Tat, Chee Yang, Delson, Syafiq, Nury,Jannah,Hafizah and another malay girl and ME. (Taken from Alvin and Jun An’s blog)
I was late as usual when meeting them. Opps. We went straight for tampiness and took the bus to Temasek Poly. Upon reaching, we headed towards the engineering building. The students there were friendly and good looking.
There were many interesting courses like Electronic Engineering, Aerospace Engineering (correct me if I’m wrong), and Robotics Engineering which Alvin is interested in entering. I wasn’t really impressed with the displays and introduction of the courses they offered at Temasek compared to the ones in Ngee Ann. (Yea besides the toilets are much cleaner and more spacious)
To my surprise, there were actually students cosplaying. Whee! I saw characters like L(s) (from deathnote), Cloud (from FF7), Ichigo (from Bleach) .etc

Till here, the NPCC guys went to find Delson’s girlfriend while the girls followed us. While strolling in the compound, we found ourselves separated from the whole of NPCC group.
After looking at the displays in the School of Engineering, we marched towards the School of Business where there’s a tour; a drama performance held in Lecture Theater 17 (LT17).
I was like rofl (rolling on floor laughing) throughout the whole performance. It was friggin hilarious. Too bad the NPCC people weren’t there to catch it with us.
Cast: Professor Pussycat, Professor Powerpuff, 5 people each representing a course in the poly (Known as The Super Heros; can’t remember the roles), Song and Bo Brothers, Bim and Bo the Evil Weevil.
The performance was pretty much of a comedy, we enjoyed ourselves greatly.That was the last time time slot for the performance. After that, we proceeded to the bus stop to take a trip to Sim Lim since Alvin wanted to buy a mike on that day. Saw Delson’s girl, quite pretty actually, keep up the good work, win her heart Delssy!
Just when we were reaching Sim Lim, the rest of the NPCC gang went to accompany Delson and her girlfriend at compass point. Everyone was like starving real badly then I brought everybody the nearest hawker centre near the Guanyin temple. Hehe, I sounded like I was the leader..
Anyways, after dinner, Xin Hui left for her family outing, and we separated ourselves from the girls and entered Sim Lim square. We quickly made our purchases (Alvin and Choontat) and went to bugis junction with the girls, hopefully to buy a deathnote diary for my girl. Right after we walked out of bugis street, Choontat left for the MRT station for his family outing.
Sadly, the book and comics stores weren’t selling any of the deathnote collectables anymore. Was disappointed when something caught my eye, A Neoprint Shop! Whoos! Something to bring back home instead of empty handed.
After our walk in bugis junction, everyone was tired and thus we decided to leave and go home. On our way to the MRT, we came across the fountain (again). Alvin and Jun An were like pretty active; hyper and walked around the fountain, playing with water like small little kids. Strange, I actually agreed to join their wet fun. The result? Alvin got the wettest award, followed by me and Jun An. Thanks to Alvin for pushing me to the water spray. We both seemed like we just came out of the swimming pool.
On our the train back home, we played a couple of games. Alvin, Weicheng and Me were the losers and ended up going home with sore palms.
Conclusion on the two polys I visited in two days: Ngee Ann’s facilities are definitely better than Temasek’s. Consider about the cleanliness before choosing.
